We have been teaching people to fly in Nepal since 1995. It's an awesome place to learn. The reliable climate in the winter months provides friendly conditions for beginners, with mild thermals and gentle valley winds. Add in the cheap cost of living, friendly locals and an incredible mountain backdrop - and you can understand why hundreds of people have signed up and successfully completed a beginner's paragliding course with us.

Paragliding is a unique adventure sport. By harnessing the elements, we can stay in the sky for many hours and travel long distances. It is a simple aircraft that fits neatly into a rucksack & weighs next to nothing. An aircraft so versatile that it opens up a whole new world of possibilities for the adventurer, and where better to learn than in the foothills of the Himalayas.

from this...                      to this...                   & finally this.

Our beginner courses offer a safe and professional path into the world of paragliding. Using only the best in equipment, and applying the highest of standards, our instructors will guide you through the course to give you the best foundations for a long and happy career in the sky. Our formula is simple - we don't cut corners.  And we always put your safely first. The ParaPro syllalbus is set out by the Federation Aeronautique International (FAI) - the controlling body for all airsports worldwide. The course is designed so that you progress in a safe and controlled manner, with a great deal of attention given to theory, ground hadling, air law and meteorology.  All our instructors are highly experienced professionals who have been teaching paragliding for at least 10 years. We have a maximum of 8 students per course, and equipment and transport is provided for in the cost.

The license we issue is authorised by the Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI). The IPPI card (International Pilot Proficiency Identification) is recognised in every country that has an airsport association.

We will start with some basic theory and demonstrations both on the ground and in the air. And then with the help of your instructor - it's your turn. We'll begin with some ground control, then gradually progress to short flights on gentle grassy slopes, moving on to the next stage only when you are ready. Within only a few days, you will be flying from higher slopes, under constant radio supervision of your instructor. We will then move onto some simple stability control exercises and descent techniques. From time to time, we will gather in our office to work on crucial areas such as air law and theory - but for the most part we will be on the hill and putting the theory into practice.

You will be continually assessed throughout the course, and your instructors will work with you to ensure that you have developed the necessary skills and understanding to be able to move onto the next stage.

Many of our students follow up the elementary course with a thermalling course - building on knowledge & technique and amassing a solid number of hours flying in consistent thermic conditions. Skills which they can then take and use anywhere in the world.
